01

The client

Pharma sales does not look like other sales. The customer is a prescriber, the end user is a patient, the transaction runs through a pharmacy, and every part of it is subject to rules about what may be communicated, to whom, and how it must be recorded.

Generic CRMs handle contacts and pipelines. They do not handle territories built around prescriber networks, or outreach that has to be logged for compliance, or revenue that only becomes visible once a pharmacy fills a script.

02

The problem

The people a pharma company needs to track live in different systems that do not talk to each other. Prescriber data sits in one place, dispensing data in the pharmacy system, test results in the lab system, and revenue in billing. A rep working from a CRM disconnected from those is working blind.

Outreach was equally fragmented. Email, SMS and fax — still a working channel in US healthcare — were each handled separately, with no single record of what had been sent to whom.

03

Requirements

  • R1Contact and lead management built around providers, patients and sales reps
  • R2Tag-based segmentation and bulk import for targeting at scale
  • R3Multi-channel outreach — email, SMS and fax — inside the CRM
  • R4Dashboards and reporting on sales, campaigns and team performance
  • R5Integrations with pharmacy, lab and billing systems for live revenue tracking
  • R6Territory management, with data security and compliance throughout

04

The solution

We built the CRM around the pharma relationship model rather than adapting a generic sales pipeline, then integrated it with the external systems that hold the data a rep actually needs.

Why the integrations are the product: a pharma CRM without live pharmacy and billing data is a contact list. Connecting those systems is what turns it into something a commercial team can plan and forecast from.
