Case study · Platform
Enabat Almanasek is a digital platform based in Makkah that lets Muslims anywhere in the world have Umrah performed on their behalf — and watch it happen live.
01
Umrah by proxy is a long-established practice for those who cannot travel — the elderly, the unwell, the deceased. What had never existed was a way to commission it remotely with any confidence that it was actually carried out.
Enabat Almanasek set out to solve exactly that: a platform that connects a requester anywhere in the world with a vetted performer in Makkah, and then shows them the rites being completed in real time. The trust problem is the product.
02
This is a platform where a technical failure is not an inconvenience. A dropped stream during the rites, a payment that does not clear, an interface a non-technical elderly user cannot navigate — each of those breaks something the user cares about far more than software.
It also had to work for a genuinely global audience paying in different currencies, in two languages, on connections of wildly varying quality, into a service physically rooted in one city.

We built the platform end to end on an API-driven architecture, so the web app, the mobile apps and the real-time layer all work from the same contracts rather than diverging as features were added.
The design constraint that shaped everything: a significant share of users are elderly and not confident with apps. Every flow was cut back until it could be completed without instruction — which meant removing features rather than adding them.

Operating from Makkah for users worldwide
Arabic and English, with correct right-to-left handling
Requesters watch the rites as they are performed
More work
Entering a new market meant standing up retail operations from nothing. We rolled out Dynamics 365 retail POS across new stores and automated purchase ordering off the back of sales orders.
Saudi e-invoicing is not a reporting exercise; invoices must clear through Fatoora in real time with the right cryptographic stamps. We implemented it end to end for ATCL, Alomar Furniture and Al Watania.
An accounts payable platform needed to speak fluently to Dynamics 365. We led the integration — invoices, GL accounts, purchase orders, vendor credits, bill payments — and built the services behind it.
